Louey is 1.5 years old.  He came to us the first time in Dec. of 2004 as a baby.  Louey's owner just didn't quite know how to care for a ferret so we took Louey in temporarily to get him healthy and to educate his young owner.  We thought we educated Louey's owner enough so that we could send Louey back home, but alas, Louey came over for a visit in Nov. of 2005 in very poor condition.  He was on the edge of life and we were wondering if he was going to make it.  We took Louey to the vet and he recommended that we give Louey lots of tlc and try to pull him through.  We did just that and he pulled through, however, he apparently has some permenant damage in some of his organs from the improper care.  Louey has very grumpy days where he attacks all humans and fur friends, but for the most part, he plays like the sweet baby that he is.
